Raleigh Trace Electric Gravel Bike 2023
Bought in September 2023 with the intention of commuting to work daily, I simply have not used this bike enough to justify the price. It is an excellent bike for commuting. The mudguards protect very well from mud and puddles while the front light and rear lights (particularly the front light) are very bright and perfect for those winter months. I actually used this bike the most in the winter of 23/24. The assistance makes hills breezy on the highest setting and the lower settings allow you to cruise through London. It's not a heavy bike for an e-bike. At traffic lights it comes into its own, getting an easy start on road bikes. It matches the top speed of most road bikes. The front mudguard is bent to the left slightly but still performs its function extremely well and does not impede the wheel. There are chips in the paint in the middle of the frame where I have lent the bike against a wall outside my house. A little wear on the seats. The disc brakes and lights are in excellent quality and the battery life has only decreased ever so slightly reflecting my lack of use. Bike needs a good clean which I will do. Last service was 6 months ago with minimal use in-between.
