Giant Fathom E+ 29 2 Electric Bike 2021

Giant Fathom E+ 29 2 Electric Bike 2021

Used I’ve owned the bike since new, around April ‘22, the bike has a Speedbox fitted to it and has done since new. It’s not something I use too much as it does tend to eat battery power when switched on but worth noting it has one. New chain and gear set fitted around October. Whilst out on a ride last week, Tuesday, the motor basically gave up and ground to a halt. The cost of one from Giant main dealer makes it prohibitive to repair but maybe someone out there knows how to get it fixed somewhere but that’s all beyond me if I’m honest. The battery is still very good, the charger is with the bike but I have lost the keys for the battery to remove it from the frame but understand it’s not too difficult to drill the lock out and replace with another but again, I’ve always charged it up with the battery in situ, never a problem, I’ve always charged the battery up and run it down to as far as I can before recharging it again, it’s never been plugged in every day at all so plenty of life left in it yet. The bike has never been riden in the woods or anything like that, I only ride it down small country lanes but they do get muddy in the wet conditions. The wheels are tubeless ready too, if you’re interested.
